I conn the USS Mustin as we sail alongside the USS Tippecanoe for an underway replenishment. We had to stay parallel to them, match their speed, and stay at a distance of 160 ft.

USS Cowpens in dry dock. While we were at sea we got a message saying the Cowpens had a "man overboard". At first we were confused because the ship was in dry dock, how could someone fall into the water? Then we recieved a clarification. A sailor leap off the port bridge wing and fell 100 feet to his death.

We rode an a landing ship from Etajima to Kure. The invasion of Japan was only delayed 60 years! We begged them to let us go out the ramp but the Japanese sailors refused.
